BEDAZZLED Rainbow Menorah
HAPPY HANUKKAH!!! Please enjoy this magical BEDAZZLED rainbow menorah!
This is one of the most special pieces I've made to date. It incorporates all of my favorite ceramics skills including throwing, hand-building, painting, carving, and two kinds of clay. The arch is thrown on the wheel and also painted on the wheel. Once the ring is dry enough, it's cut in half, and the candle holes are carved. For the base, I rolled a slab and sculpted a cloud out of tinted purple porcelain. When the base and the arch are at the same level of leather-hard they are attached. The menorah then underwent its first firing, was dipped in a clear glaze, and then fired again. The second to last step is painting 22k gold luster around the base and painting the entire cloud with mother of pearl luster. The whole cloud has a rainbow sheen! EVERY STRIPE IS BEDAZZLED WITH GLASS RHINESTONES!!!!
These menorahs are made with a lot of love, time, and well wishes for all of the Hanukkahs that they will celebrate.
